Just get us enough sponsorship and we will.

Seriously I do think we could make a Serious LMP1 especially with our KERS experience but getting the Sponsors to pay for it even though we'd get them a lot of exposure is very hard today.

Either way I shall endeavor to enjoy myself.

Sounds like something Red Bull would pay for (LMP1, not F1).... do they sponsor anything in the Le Mans series currently?

The problem is I believe that their products are banned in France.

Hey you got some ideas send them on. We're making a serious investagation. We only need 10MM euros to build 2 cars and race for 2 years.

Guys, for whatever it is worth, the 2 numbers I had heard were between US $1 to $1.3 million for the US Model.

What would be the aim of the LMP1 project, first amongst the privateers?

Modest.

First Overall.

Before you laugh read the 2014 rules VERY carefully...

Especially the fuel limits for Factory Teams and Privateers.

Here's why a Race Car has to be tough to Run Race The Ring.

While I aploud your gall, and would love to see you take fist over all, hell come 2014 I'll be on the stands at Le Mans rooting for you. But taking on Porsche, Audi, Toyota etc.
I assume they read the same rules, and would not allow a private entry to embarrass them.
I mean realistically it comes down to money, and simply put, they have much, much more of it... this is not even including their greater experience, much larger R/D departments, and the fact that they are probably already testing their cars...

You have to find a main partner or a manufacturer, exactly as Don Panoz has done for the Deltawing.

But IMHO an LMP2 project would be much more realistic than a LMP1.

While money is money rules are rules and the law of physics are the laws of physics if the ACO gives privateers more energy/fuel than the factory teams even the factory teams can't contraveine the laws of physics.

Your comment that they are probably already testing their 2014 LMP 1 cars which will have to be TOTALLY different than their 2013 LMP1 cars is silly.

If we get enough sponsorship we will see if we can do better than the Delta Wing.

Once again the odds of us getting enough sponsorship money in these interesting times remain long.

I don't like this kind of very subjective rules. As an example I didn't like the fact that the Porsches Gt3 R's refuelling system has been restricted during the last Nurburgring 24h because of their low consumption.

Talking about Porsches...P-Motorsport started testing their LMP1 with Dumas behind the wheel in january 2012...
